As the Engagement Director, you will hold the administrative authority and responsibility necessary to fulfill your designated tasks. The main objective of this role is to strategize, organize, develop, and oversee the comprehensive operation of the Recreation Department, ensuring compliance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as our established policies and procedures.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, assess, and manage the activity programs within the facility.
  • Engage in community planning to address the interests of the facility and the needs of residents and their families.
  • Complete necessary administrative tasks, including forms and reports, and submit them as required.
  • Conduct daily rounds to ensure residents are informed about upcoming activities.
  • Foster a warm, inviting atmosphere that emphasizes personal connection and tranquility throughout the facility.
  • Ensure that all necessary supplies for activities are readily available.
  • Assist residents with appointments as needed, which may include transportation.
  • Drive facility vehicles as required.
  • Participate in community service initiatives, inter-generational programs, and volunteer opportunities that promote connection and purpose.
  • Advocate for positive changes within the facility and mentor new residents as they integrate into our community.
  • Facilitate activities that encourage friendships among residents and provide various entertainment options that promote enjoyment, health, and vitality.

Qualifications

  • Ability to interact tactfully with personnel, residents, families, visitors, and the general public.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and a collaborative approach to working with others.
  • Capability to move throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry a minimum of ten pounds to a height of ten feet and across a distance of ten feet.
  • Prior experience is preferred but not mandatory.
