About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Team Leader to join our Water Infrastructure Design Center at Garver. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of site civil designs for water and wastewater treatment/pumping facilities, as well as coordinating with other disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of complex treatment plant/pumping facilities yard piping systems and coordinate with other utilities
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Coordinate with surveyors and geotechnical subconsultants to ensure accurate site data
  • Support construction projects and regional teams with water and wastewater related business development activities
  • Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure delivery of high-quality work products
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • 10 years or more experience in civil site design with no less than two years of experience in project or team leadership
  • Professional Engineer Licensure (PE)
  • Experience with Autodesk software, including AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
Preferred Attributes
  • Master's degree in civil or environmental engineering
  • 15 years or more of civil engineering design experience with five years or more of experience in team leadership
  • Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM)
  • Experience using Bluebeam
  • Good relationships with clients in Garver's footprint
