Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Optical Sales Professional to join our team at EssilorLuxottica. As an Optical Sales Professional, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and sales support to our customers in the optical department of Macy's department stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Customer Service: Consistently deliver sales plan and company objectives through cultivating existing customer relationships and building new ones.
  • Product Knowledge: Utilize optical prescription to recommend specific lenses and lens coatings.
  • Frame Selection: Assist patients in the selection of frames and coordinate frames with optical measurements to assist our customers in choosing the perfect vision solution.
  • Measurement and Consultation: Conduct measurements using appropriate optical tools and consult with Optician as needed.
  • Store Environment: Actively participate and contribute to a positive store environment, fostering strong, professional relationships with peers, management, doctors, and support staff.
  • Appearance and Organization: Take pride in the appearance of the store and show initiative to keep displays and inventory clean, attractive, and organized.
  • Inclusive Culture: Help foster an inclusive culture by treating customers and colleagues with respect.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in retail or customer service.
  • Skills: Familiarity with point of sale systems, computers, and calculators with basic phone and math skills. Ability to sell through the use of sales skills and accountability for sales results, with a desire to meet goals. Strong communication skills (both oral and written). Self-motivator with a demonstrated ability to multi-task; ability to respond flexibly in a quickly changing environment.
