Job Title: Building Automation Sales

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Building Automation Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully selling Building Automation Systems, DDC Controls, Lighting Controls, and Energy Management Systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating revenue by developing market potential, forecasting, lead generation, qualification, and closing sales.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify market potential by qualifying accounts and developing business strategies to expand sales in existing accounts.
  • Initiate sales processes by scheduling appointments, making initial presentations, and understanding account requirements.
  • Closes sales by building rapport with potential accounts, explaining product and service capabilities, overcoming objections, and preparing contracts.
  • Expand sales in existing accounts by introducing new products and services, developing new applications, and contributing to market strategy by monitoring competitive products and reactions from accounts.
  • Recommends new products and services by evaluating current product results, identifying needs to be filled, and updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Achieve sales goals by developing high-level relationships within A/E, Contractor, and End-user accounts to win incremental product and service business.
Requirements:
  • Three to five years of outside sales experience selling Building Automation Systems, DDC Controls, Lighting Controls, and Energy Management Systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a similar field.
  • Credentials including LEED GA/AP, CEM, FE, or PE.
  • Excellent cold-calling and relationship-building skills, with the ability to identify and seek out business within new and existing clients.
  • HVAC, Construction, or Service Industry experience required.
  • Previous experience with sales to Consulting Engineers, Mechanical Contractors, and Owners.
  • Understanding of Tridium & Distech Controls is preferred.
  • Excellent initiative and interpersonal communication skills, with strong computer skills in Microsoft Windows 7/10 Professional, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
