Comprehensive Eye Exam Specialist

MRG Exams, a pioneering service provider of independent medical evaluations, is seeking a part-time Optometrist to conduct thorough eye assessments for United States Veterans as part of the VA's SHA process.
The selected candidate will be responsible for reviewing medical health records through a secure online portal and performing comprehensive eye exams on each veteran, subsequently submitting completed forms via the Web Portal.
This position does not involve making determinations; instead, the VA makes all determinations. It is a non-treating role, focusing solely on providing assessments.
This opportunity is brought on as a 1099 Independent Contractor.
The working schedule will consist of Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Requirements- Interested in conducting comprehensive eye exam assessments rather than traditional patient care and treatment.
- Able to analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete forms and provide medical opinions.
- Completed forms must be submitted within 24 hours after an exam.
- Committed to serving Veterans in their community.
- Able to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a current license as an Optometrist in the state where exams are performed.
- Able to perform Visual Field Testing (VFT).
Estimated salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
