About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director of Product Management to lead the strategic direction and development of our new data platform, EDB Postgres AI. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for defining and executing the product strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment across functions, and driving OLTP-focused product initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for the new data platform, keeping in line with company objectives and market needs.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and other departments to ensure product alignment across functions.
  • Drive OLTP-focused product initiatives, ensuring the platform is optimized for high-volume transactional processes.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, technologies, and competitive insights to ensure the platform remains cutting-edge.
  • Engage directly with customers to gather feedback, understand their needs, and ensure the platform addresses real-world challenges.
  • Clearly communicate the product strategy, updates, and KPIs to stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product managers and collaborate closely with the engineering leadership.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field. Advanced degrees preferred.
  • 8+ years of leadership experience in product management, with a focus on data platforms; OLTP use cases and AI.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading successful product launches in the data platform domain.
  • Strong technical acumen and the ability to converse with engineers, architects, and data scientists.
  • Exceptional leadership qualities and ability to inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with current data technologies and architectures.
