Job Summary:

As a Cardiology Technician 3 at Nuvance Health, you will play a vital role in operating cardiac diagnostic equipment and compiling data on patients during cardiac diagnostic procedures. Your primary responsibility will be to obtain optimal results and data processing for the general purpose of diagnosing heart disease.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and position patients, adjust and activate equipment, and connect patients to monitors to initiate the cardiology procedure.

2. Obtain medical history during patient interviews, assess patient conditions, and explain test procedures to ensure patient comfort prior to initiating procedures.

3. Perform non-invasive procedures, including all procedures performed under the Cardiology Technician II position, and independently perform all forms of Exercise stress testing, including Nuclear Cardiology Exercise Stress Testing.

4. Monitor patient performance during test procedures to observe for abnormalities and institute proper emergency procedures when necessary.

5. Provide instruction and direction to patients to ensure patient satisfaction.

6. Obtain test results and deliver results to doctors to provide timely satisfactory information.

7. Prepare requisitions and charge cards to ensure proper billing for services.

8. Clean exam rooms and equipment and stock supplies to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and coworkers.

9. Participate in conferences, staff meetings, in-service training, and quality assurance programs to keep informed and promote continuous quality improvement.

10. Answer telephones and give information or route calls to ensure effective communication occurs.

11. Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED
Minimum Experience: three years
Preferred: One year experience as a Cardiology Tech II or the equivalent years of experience as a Cardiology Tech performing all procedures listed in the above major responsibilities.

Salary Range:

$18.3900 - $34.1400 Hourly (Rate of pay based on years of experience)
