Job Title: Housing Retention Specialist

Description:
The Committee on Temporary Shelter (COTS) seeks a highly motivated professional to join our team as a Housing Retention Specialist. This role is a key component of our prevention services, directly impacting our mission to end homelessness. The specialist will work closely with Housing Navigators and Resident Managers to support tenants in COTS Housing, addressing challenges and developing strategies for long-term stability. Strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a deep understanding of social services are essential for success in this position.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
A minimum of a high school degree or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree in a related field is strongly preferred. Candidates with social work or mental health backgrounds are prioritized, and licensed social workers are encouraged to apply. At least two years of related experience and knowledge of resources and services for individuals and families are necessary. Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness and crisis intervention is also required. A combination of coursework and experience will be considered.
