Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer III to join our team at Scientific Research Corporation. As an Electrical Engineer III, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing complex electrical systems and components. Your expertise in electrical engineering principles, circuit analysis, and design will be essential in developing innovative solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex electrical systems and components, including RF systems, antennas, and feedlines.
  • Develop and implement solutions to complex technical problems associated with the analysis, design, development, operation, and/or modification of electrical engineering products and services.
  • Research and analyze equipment (hardware/software) design and development, system analyses, process studies, and research investigations for complex technical problems.
  • Establish and maintain effective working interfaces and coordination/exchange of technical information among multi-disciplined engineering groups, subcontractors, and/or the customer.
  • Design and develop RF distribution components, antennas, and feedlines in accordance with specifications and engineering standards for installation.
  • Design, develop, test, and support various digital signal processing and radio frequency applications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • Six+ (6+) years of experience working as an Electrical/Electronics Engineer in development, design, and prototyping requirements.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: Threat System Analysis, Model development to match intelligence assessments, including waveform scheduling, correlation/tracking and signal processing, RF signals processing, RF algorithms/logic, System performance assessments of major subsystems.
  • Demonstrated experience programming and configured one or more of the following: Microcontrollers, Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), System on a Chip (SoC), Platform on a Module (PoM), Single board computers.
  • Experience designing and developing one or more of the following: RF Cable Assemblies, Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs).
  • Possess a current Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Desired Skills
  • Eight (8) years of experience working as an Electrical/Electronics Engineer or Computer Engineer in development, design, and prototyping requirements.
  • Six (6) years experience supporting DoD or Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Programs.
  • Experience developing RF components in lab and shipboard environments.
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following toolsets: Modeling Software: MATLAB, SimuLink, MathCAD, Radar Signal and Data Processing Toolsets.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: Threat System Analysis, Model development to match intelligence assessments, including waveform scheduling, correlation/tracking and signal processing, RF signals processing, RF algorithms/logic, System performance assessments of major subsystems.
  • Experience and knowledge of power systems, to include fuse panels, disconnect switches, ground fault indicators, transformers, power junction boxes, cables, connectors, connector plates, stuffing tubes, and feed-thru connectors.
  • Experience with root cause analysis of RF systems and interoperability.
  • Knowledge of sensor signal processing, signal detection, probability statistics.
  • Experience integrating sensor, shooter, and command and control systems.
  • Knowledge of sensor array processing methods, antennas, and propagation.
  • Experience designing and developing power-based hardware solutions to solve and optimize different voltage and current requirements.
  • Thorough understanding of Technical Data Packages (TDPs) for RF and Electrical applications.
