Job Description

Job Summary:

Northern Impact is seeking a highly skilled Construction Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for implementing construction documents for multiple projects, emphasizing detail-oriented individuals with experience in complex multi-family or mixed-use projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Construction Document Development: Develop and coordinate construction documents, including project detailing and basis of design.
  • Project Team Leadership: Lead a project team and coordinate the work of consultants.
  • Client and Team Meetings: Organize client and team meetings.
  • Project Scheduling: Establish project schedules, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Task Coordination: Coordinate and assign tasks, goals, and deliverables within the team.
  • Quality Assurance: Lead coordination and quality assurance reviews.
  • Design Collaboration: Collaborate on design and design presentations.
  • Construction Administration: Coordinate construction administration efforts.
  • Revit Model Management: Oversee the Revit model within the office and with project consultants.
  • Permitting and Plan Check: Oversee the permitting and plan check process with various jurisdictions.

Requirements:

  • Professional Degree: Professional Degree in Architecture from an accredited architecture program.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years' experience in construction administration and/or architectural field.
  • Licensed Architect: Licensed Architect a plus.
  • Revit Proficiency: Proficiency and experience using Revit to produce design and construction documents.
  • Construction Knowledge: Thorough understanding of the construction process, techniques, materials, and standards.
  • Code Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of state and local building and zoning codes including accessibility.
  • On-Site Experience: Experience on-site during construction working directly with owner's representative and construction team.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to maintain electronically all project documentation during the construction phase.
  • Design Sensitivity: Sensitivity to design and aesthetics.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to research and troubleshoot technical and code issues.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Self-Starters: Ability to self-start and stay on task with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Revit, AutoCAD, Procore (or similar) and Bluebeam.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Willingness to pitch in and assist in a team-oriented atmosphere wherever needed.
