Job Profile Summary

The Radiologic Imaging Technologist is accountable for executing both standard and advanced diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures within the field of radiology, ensuring the production of high-quality images for Radiologist interpretation. This role may require mobility between various sites.

  • Competently operates and maintains essential imaging equipment to generate radiographic outputs.
  • Follows established imaging protocols and maintains high-quality standards.
  • Ensures a secure environment for patients, visitors, and personnel in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Contributes to the educational mission of the institution by pursuing learning and teaching opportunities that align with departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Takes ownership of the clinical workspace, ensuring exam rooms, equipment, and supplies are well-maintained.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned beyond the aforementioned duties.
Position Compensation Range:
$49.18 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:
Must have graduated from an accredited JRC program in Radiography. An Associate's Degree in Radiography is preferred.

Experience:
A minimum of one year of experience as a Radiologic Imaging Technologist.

Licensure:
Must be a Registered Radiologic Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT R.T.). Certification in American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS is required. A valid Virginia Driver's License (VADL) may be necessary.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires prolonged standing, frequent bending/stooping, traveling, reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive motion), and computer keyboard usage. Proficient communication, auditory and visual skills, attention to detail, legible writing, and the ability to lift/push/pull weight are essential. Exposure to chemicals, cold, dust, noise, radiation, blood/body fluids, and infectious diseases may occur.
