Job Overview

Position Summary
The Aircraft Maintenance Technician is tasked with executing both routine and unexpected maintenance on aviation training aircraft.

This role demands adherence to company protocols and all relevant regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Exhibiting strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Demonstrating exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Interpreting and comprehending technical documentation, including maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, engineering schematics, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives.
  • Possessing knowledge of federal regulations pertinent to Title 14 parts 43 and 91.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization within workspaces.
  • Exhibiting flexibility to work various shifts as required.

Qualifications

Education
• Possession of Airframe and Powerplant licenses is mandatory upon hiring. Candidates must secure Inspection Authorization within three months of employment.

Experience
• A minimum of three consecutive years of general aviation experience as a certified A&P mechanic is required.
• Experience with Piper aircraft is preferred.
• Familiarity with G1000 systems is advantageous.

Skills and Competencies
• Ability to work autonomously while making airworthiness judgments.
• Competence in managing workflow and adjusting priorities as necessary.
• Proficient in troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and maintaining company aircraft in compliance with applicable technical data and FAA regulations.
• Responsible for making aircraft logbook entries and authorizing aircraft for return to service.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of learning the Talon RMS computer maintenance program.

Equipment and Tools
• Utilization of general office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and personal computers.
• Operation of vehicles including company vans, trucks, golf carts, and aircraft as needed.
• Use of various shop equipment and tools is required.
• Exposure to solvents and aviation fuel may occur.

Physical and Safety Considerations
• Work will be conducted in diverse environments, both indoors and outdoors.
• Significant exposure to aircraft, simulators, and varying weather conditions is expected.
• May involve medium lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Prolonged periods of sitting or standing, as well as bending and stooping, may be necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $41.00 per hour
