About the Role:

Southern Airways Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of our fleet of aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on aircraft to ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Troubleshoot systems and components, airframe, and power plant to identify and resolve issues.
  • Complete log entries for work accomplished and maintain a clean and professional work area.
  • Perform aircraft run and taxi tests as required for system testing and performance.
  • Exhibit knowledge of and work in accordance with the Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Ground Movement Manual (GMM), and Aircraft Inspection Procedures (AAIP).

Requirements:

  • Current Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in aircraft maintenance is preferred.
  • Ownership/possession of basic tools to complete job tasks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow maintenance manuals, drawings, and wiring prints.
  • Ability to work within a 24/7 operation, including holidays.
  • Ability to pass a 10-year background check and pre-employment drug screen.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. per the Immigration Act of 1986.
  • Ability to maintain SIDA access.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to document on-the-job training and successfully complete training as required by the company.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to bend, squat, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
  • Able to lift 40 pounds.
  • Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Must be able to meet all physical requirements related to aircraft weight limitations before and during employment.
