Job Overview

Star Pro Security Patrol, Inc. is in search of a dedicated and skilled Armed Security Officer to protect our client's properties, assets, and personnel. The successful candidate will be a trained professional capable of responsibly managing firearms and making sound decisions in potentially hazardous situations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Surveillance and Patrol: Conduct regular inspections of designated areas, both on foot and in vehicles, to ensure the safety of the location. Monitor security systems and alarms to identify and respond to suspicious activities.
  2. Security Protocol Enforcement: Implement and uphold security protocols, including visitor screening and access control. Ensure adherence to company policies and regulations.
  3. Criminal Activity Deterrence: Serve as a visible deterrent to criminal actions by maintaining a professional demeanor. Respond decisively to any security breaches or threats to safety.
  4. Emergency Response: Act swiftly and effectively during emergencies such as medical situations, fires, or disturbances. Take necessary actions to minimize risks and protect personnel and property.
  5. Firearm Management: Carry and manage firearms safely and in accordance with company policies and relevant laws. Demonstrate proficiency in firearm use, employing them only when there is an immediate threat to life or property.
  6. Incident Reporting: Document all security-related incidents, activities, and observations in comprehensive reports. Maintain accurate records of patrols and incidents.
  7. Collaboration with Authorities: Work in conjunction with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed. Provide support during investigations or legal matters.
  8. Customer Interaction: Maintain a courteous and professional attitude when engaging with employees, visitors, and clients. Offer assistance and information to ensure a secure and positive experience.
Qualifications
  1. Certification: Must hold a valid Guard Card and Exposed Firearms permit.
  2. Firearms Proficiency: Proven ability in the safe handling and use of firearms, having completed necessary training and assessments.
  3. Physical Capability: Ability to perform tasks that may involve prolonged standing, walking, and physical exertion. Must be physically fit to respond effectively to emergencies.
  4. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Capable of interacting effectively with diverse individuals and maintaining composure under pressure.
  5. Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Ability to quickly assess situations, analyze risks, and take appropriate actions.
  6. Integrity: High ethical standards and integrity. Must maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience in law enforcement, military, or security fields.
  2. Additional certifications in first aid, CPR, or emergency response.
  3. Familiarity with laws and regulations governing armed security operations.
  4. Certifications in OC spray, Baton, or Taser.
