At Randstad, we are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Supervisor to join our team. As a Payroll Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate compensation for all employees, while staying up-to-date on relevant policies and procedures that impact payroll processing.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage full-cycle payroll processing, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations for both salaried and hourly staff.
- Verify and audit all payroll-related data entries, such as new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, direct deposits, and tax withholding selections.
- Review, process, and reconcile payroll batches, including timekeeping entries, bonuses, and other forms of compensation.
- Calculate and administer payments for employees on leave, such as short-term disability benefits.
- Handle wage garnishments, child support payments, and tax levies accurately, adhering to state-specific guidelines.
- Conduct payroll audits to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Post payroll data to accounting systems for each payroll cycle.
- Ensure accurate submission of electronic payments for child support after auditing.
- Generate and distribute payroll-related reports as requested.
- Address and resolve payroll-related queries and issues.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to foster effective communication.
- Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines by effectively prioritizing work assignments.
- Act as backup for other payroll team members when necessary.
- Take on additional payroll-related tasks as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience managing payroll in a multi-state environment.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations, practices, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant payroll software.
- Payroll certification (FPC or CPP) or actively working towards certification.
- 2+ years of experience with UKG software, including transaction management, payroll processing, report generation, and wage type administration.
