About the Role

Midea America Corp. is a leading home appliance brand seeking a highly skilled R&D Clothes Dryer Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our North American R&D team, you will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and innovating drying product systems and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead North American Clothes Dryer Research and Development projects, including mechanical component and structural design, feature development, and collaboration.
  • Develop new product appearance parts and functional parts as required.
  • Contribute to technology development for intellectual property creation for Clothes Dryers.
  • Improve dryer test lab processes and ensure test lab reproducibility and repeatability.
  • Design and improve related product parts.
  • Research mechanical technology and organize technical research on key core technologies.
  • Participate in innovation projects and methods.
  • Collaborate with the North American R&D team and the Chinese Overseas R&D team.
  • Participate in technical project reviews and innovation research projects.
  • Cross-functional cooperation with internal and external engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with project managers and Laundry R&D team on technical plan roadmaps.
  • Analyze field returns and develop design and quality improvement projects.
  • Provide expert analysis on field returns and timely reports to the Overseas R&D team and North American Laundry Leadership.
  • Lead projects with universities on advanced development projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering; Master's preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience as a design engineer.
  • 5 years of experience working on Clothes dryer systems.
  • Proficiency in UG, Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar software.
