Job Title: R&D Clothes Dryer Design Engineer

Midea America Corp., a leading home appliance brand, is seeking a highly skilled R&D Clothes Dryer Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and innovating drying product systems and components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop new product appearance parts and functional parts for clothes dryers.
  • Collaborate with the North American R&D team and the Chinese Overseas R&D team to drive innovation and improve product quality.
  • Research and develop technology for intellectual property development for clothes dryers.
  • Improve dryer test lab processes and ensure test lab reproducibility and repeatability.
  • Design and improve related parts of the product.
  • Research and organize technical research on key core technologies focusing on structural design and mechanical transmission.
  • Participate in research on related innovation projects and innovation methods.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to carry out project work.
  • Collaborate with project managers and Laundry R&D team on multi-generational technical plan roadmaps.
  • Provide expert-level analysis on field returns and provide timely reports and updates to Overseas R&D team and North American Laundry Leadership.
  • Lead projects working with universities on advanced development projects.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering; Master's preferred.
  • 7-10 years' experience working as a design engineer.
  • 5 years of experience working on clothes dryer systems.
  • Experience with UG, Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD or other similar software.
