About the RoleThis is a full-time, benefits-eligible position that requires a Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice, and a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Typically, 3 years of experience in front-line nursing is preferred, with a focus on med/tele or neuro.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, coordinate, facilitate, conduct, and evaluate orientation programs for nursing and other healthcare personnel.
- Assist with competency management, using tools that capture objective and subjective data regarding an individual's knowledge base and actual performance.
- Design educational activities to address practice gaps for identified target audiences in consultation with a Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Specialist.
- Utilize best practice standards, including adult learning principles, in the planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of educational activities to facilitate the achievement of desired outcomes.
- Collaborate with system and operational leadership to meet the education needs of the site and nursing departments.
- Adjust materials and teaching strategies appropriate to the situation and the learner's developmental level, learning needs, readiness, ability to learn, language preference, and culture.
- Evaluate and analyze the impact of programming on learners, organizational resources, and patient outcomes, making adjustments as needed in consultation with an NPD Specialist.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Typically 3 years of experience in front-line nursing, with a focus on med/tele or neuro.
