As a Pediatric Nurse Specialist in our Pediatric Clinic, you will provide high-quality nursing care to children from infancy through adolescence.
You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including pediatricians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare staff, to deliver exceptional care to our patients and support their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients, including assessments, treatment, and follow-up care.
- Administer medications, immunizations, and other treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and preventive care.
- Assist with the coordination of care, including referrals, scheduling, and follow-up appointments.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with clinic policies and healthcare regulations.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and their families.
- Participate in clinic quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- RN/LPN - Current Iowa Nursing Licensure in good standing.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- BLS/Mandatory Reporter Training.
