Job Summary:

The Patient Service Representative is a vital member of our team at Medicine Journal, responsible for delivering exceptional patient and customer service experiences. This role involves a range of activities that support the smooth operation of our practice, including:

  • Providing administrative support to our healthcare team, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
  • Managing patient registration, including obtaining records and collecting co-pays.
  • Assisting with general office duties, such as answering phones, sorting mail, and maintaining the file room.
  • Collaborating with our Practice Manager and providers to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • One year of reception experience or general clerical experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide range of office functions, including computer data entry, word processing, filing, and record-keeping.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families, demonstrating empathy and understanding in sensitive situations.
  • Assist with medical records management, including filing documents, chart copying, faxing, and mailing records as directed.
  • Contribute to our quality improvement process and performance evaluation.

Working Conditions:
