Job Summary

The Patient Service Representative is a vital member of our team, responsible for ensuring a seamless patient experience. This role involves greeting patients, managing wait times, scheduling appointments, and collecting payments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and manage wait times, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Assist patients with intake processes, including copying required documents and collecting co-payments.
  • Manage the cashier box and daily deposits, adhering to company policies.
  • Process walk-in patients and visitors, answering phones and scheduling appointments as needed.
  • Schedule referrals and assist with patient outreach, ensuring timely communication.
  • Manage medical records, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring accurate filing.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, including administrative tasks and support.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • One year of related work experience, including data entry and medical office procedures.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and administrative processes.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ICD-10/CPT experience preferred.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull heavy objects.
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods, with fine motor skills to operate office equipment.
  • Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing.
  • Ability to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem-solving.
