SalaryThe hourly rate for this position ranges from $14 to $16, depending on experience, availability, and subjects taught.
Job DescriptionAs an Academic Instructional Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment for our students. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Guiding students through Sylvan's learning programs
- Managing students, tasks, and time to create a balanced and robust instructional session
- Evaluating and recording the progress of each student on their program assignment
You will also be responsible for communicating with directors, attending staff meetings, and completing ongoing training as needed.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A four-year degree or equivalent
- State or provincial teaching credentials (current)
- Knowledge of phonics and reading comprehension (preferred)
