Job Overview

Salary: Competitive

The Project Coordination Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the assigned Project Executive in the planning, scheduling, documentation management, communication, project completion, client satisfaction, and financial performance of designated concrete construction projects. This position requires collaboration with the Project Manager to ensure all contractual obligations, design specifications, and project guidelines are effectively managed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the operations team to develop preliminary sequencing, formwork, hoisting, and logistics strategies.
  • Oversee on-site project management to guarantee that field personnel have all necessary information to successfully execute their tasks.
  • Facilitate project coordination and control, including review and coordination of submittals/shop drawings, Requests for Information (RFIs), and current contract documents.
  • Maintain essential logs such as Weather & Production Logs, Concrete Logs, and Rebar Delivery Logs.
  • Provide daily updates on completed work, including quantities installed and percentage of completion, visually represented on drawings using Bluebeam.
  • Track production and expedite materials as required.
  • Approve invoices and ensure accurate coding of costs in alignment with budgeted cost codes.
  • Update project schedules weekly and conduct regular job site meetings.
  • Document meeting minutes and maintain thorough project documentation.
  • Monitor daily work reports and verify applications for payment.
  • Administer contracts and perform quantity take-offs as necessary.
  • Manage punch lists and assist in project close-out procedures.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A degree in construction management or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Engineer on large concrete projects.
  • The ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, particularly related to concrete work.
  • Proven capability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Plan Grid, Procore, and Microsoft Project.
Preferred Skills

Additional qualifications that may enhance a candidate's application include:

  • OSHA Certification.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Tekla.
