POSITION SUMMARY: Registered Behavior Technician at Upstate Cerebral Palsy

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) position at Upstate Cerebral Palsy focuses on enhancing the quality of clinical services and fostering educational initiatives to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families.

Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the RBT will deliver direct services utilizing evidence-based methodologies in the field of IDD. This role also emphasizes the importance of contributing to staff training, encouraging teamwork, and nurturing positive relationships within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the implementation of Practical Functional Assessment for behavioral evaluations.
  • Conducting routine checks to ensure treatment integrity for client programming.
  • Implementing behavioral data tracking systems to assess the effectiveness of behavior plans.
  • Demonstrating a strong commitment to the individuals served by Upstate Cerebral Palsy.
  • Spending a minimum of 75% of the workday in direct interaction with clients receiving services.
  • Ensuring adherence to all relevant government and agency regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Board Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician.
  • Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel as needed.
