Behavioral Therapist for Autism and Developmental Disabilities

As a Behavioral Therapist for Autism and Developmental Disabilities, you will be a key member of our team, working closely with our clinical, educational, and administrative leadership teams to provide high-quality services and support to individuals with autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and their families.

Responsibilities

As a Behavioral Therapist, you will be responsible for administering, conducting, and supervising the implementation of behavioral assessment measures and techniques. You will also conduct and supervise the implementation of behavioral treatment, develop individualized goals and objectives for home, community, and/or center-based programs, and design behavior support plans.

You will ensure appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented and teach program staff on the proper implementation of educational and clinical behavior programs and plans, data collection systems, etc. You will also conduct training and consultation and provide supervision for staff seeking board certification/licensure in behavior analysis or registered behavior technician certification as applicable.

Additionally, you will demonstrate unwavering commitment to the people we support and ensure compliance with all pertinent government and agency regulations and operating standards.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need a Master's Degree in Psychology, Special Education, or a related field, or be currently enrolled in a Master's Degree program in Psychology, Special Education, or a related field. You will also need 2 years of relevant experience in a related field, intermediate computer skills, and a valid NYS Driver's License.

Prior experience with BCBA coursework and supervision hours is preferred, but not required.
