Position Title: Senior Project Manager

Position Summary:

The Senior Project Manager at Nautilus Solar Energy will take charge of the continuous development and construction of solar photovoltaic (PV) generating projects across designated areas. As a key member of the operations team, you will provide support to projects and clients throughout all phases of development, planning, installation, and ongoing operations and maintenance. This role reports directly to the Executive Director of Operations and is primarily remote, requiring approximately 25% travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and budget-compliant completion of all assigned projects.
  • Oversee the project lifecycle from the signing of the MIPA through development, construction, commissioning, and continued asset management support.
  • Collaborate with Origination and Structuring teams to assess projects and portfolios.
  • Contribute actively to process enhancements.
  • Lead internal teams effectively to foster strong collaboration for successful project execution.
  • Manage external partnerships professionally to cultivate beneficial relationships that support project goals.
  • Review and comment on project requirement documents, schedules, cost estimates, contracts, invoices, and other essential project-related information promptly.
  • Maintain project data within the NSE software platform, ensuring accuracy and currency through weekly updates.
  • Oversee the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, including assembling bid documentation, obtaining multiple valid proposals, evaluating and refining proposals, and selecting preferred vendors.
  • Prepare and review contract documents, including requirements documents and deliverables lists, in collaboration with Legal and the Director of Operations.
  • Manage all Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) activities.
  • Conduct weekly EPC meetings and distribute meeting minutes within 48 hours.
  • Supervise field operations to ensure quality project execution within the approved budget.
  • Perform site evaluations as necessary from initial assessment to project completion.
  • Review, approve, and process all invoices promptly.
  • Execute assigned tasks as needed.
  • Oversee assigned team members.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with industry-standard project management methodologies, including Project Management Professional (PMP) best practices and ISO9000 guidelines.
  • Experience in solar PV project management with a proven track record in financial reporting, work progress, and scheduling.
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain project documentation and correspondence.
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects and tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of construction processes in electrical, civil, and structural trades.
  • Understanding of OSHA and other safety regulations to facilitate site audits.
  • Proficiency in project planning and management software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Capability to review schedules and budgets for accuracy.
  • Experience in contract negotiation and establishing Design Build Contracts in line with company protocols.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant project management experience in energy or related sectors, with previous solar experience preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently as required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A collaborative internal communication style is essential.
  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.
