About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team at System One. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing pharmaceutical projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Review, understand, and execute project scope as defined in the order entry package, both technically and commercially.
  • GAANT Chart Management: Prepare GAANT charts for projects, update changes in real-time, and communicate with customers when changes occur.
  • Project Oversight: Manage all aspects of the project to ensure timely and budget-friendly completion.
  • Document Management: Responsible for transmitting drawings and technical/commercial documents to customers and obtaining drawing approvals in a timely manner.
  • Customer Communication: Regularly communicate with customers during project execution, including travel for onsite customer and vendor meetings.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other Engineering, Sales, Production, and Vendors as required during project execution.
  • Vendor Management: Contract and oversee vendors for integrated parts of the scope of work.
  • Change Order Management: Obtain change orders from customers prior to executing any requested scope changes.
  • Problem-Solving: Propose alternatives and solutions to Engineering management when cost overruns or technical issues arise.
  • Customer Relationship Building: Build customer relationships by providing timely feedback and open communication during project execution.
  • Project Review: Participate in project review meetings and be prepared to discuss technical and commercial details related to project execution.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee and direct the activities of Jr. Project Engineers and may oversee and direct the work of Project Engineers.
  • Travel: Travel to jobsites as required for commissioning.
Requirements
  • Experience: 14+ years of experience managing pharmaceutical projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Powder processing experience includes size reduction, classification, mixing/drying, pneumatic conveying, and air systems.
  • Software Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Access).
  • AutoCAD Experience: AutoCAD experience is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
