Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Chi. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
• Utilize the nursing process to provide patient-centered care, ensuring the needs of each individual are met in a cost-effective and quality-driven manner.
• Collect and analyze data from patients, significant others, and healthcare team members to inform nursing diagnoses and develop effective care plans.
• Consistently document patient and unit records according to established health system standards, ensuring accurate and timely information for legal and quality care requirements.
• Provide education and information to patients and families on various topics, including pain management, nutrition, skin integrity, fall prevention, diabetes, disease process, smoking cessation, and discharge instructions.
• Demonstrate commitment to the goals and values of the patient, hospital, community, and nursing profession through cost containment measures, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring patient safety.
• Participate in research activities, identify opportunities for research, and collaborate with outcomes managers and department to improve quality care.
• Participate in quality of care activities, evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, and assist in collecting quality data, analyzing data, and formulating action plans to improve quality care.
Requirements
• Education: Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing
• Licensure: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
• BLS with skills demonstration
• Minimum Experience: Effective communication, knowledge of the principles and skills of the nursing process, critical thinking skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and basic computer skills
