Sage Publishing is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative to join our team. As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the academic publishing industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Research and identify new business opportunities in the academic publishing industry, and develop strategies to pursue these leads.
  • Account Management: Build and maintain relationships with existing customers, and identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell Sage's products and services.
  • Business Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute business development strategies, and identify new revenue streams.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity, and use this information to inform sales strategies.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular sales reports and analysis to management, and use data to inform sales strategies and optimize performance.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years of sales experience in the academic publishing industry or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
