Job Description:

The Goddard School of Portland (Bethany), OR is seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Teacher to lead our educational program.

Responsibilities:
  • Program Development: Develop and implement programs that support the needs of young children, including curriculum planning and implementation.
  • Classroom Management: Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth in young children.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and mentor teachers and assistants to ensure they are meeting the needs of young children.
  • Parent Communication: Establish and maintain effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma is required; an associate or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) certification is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required.
Compensation:

A competitive hourly wage of $20-$24 per hour, plus benefits such as 401(k) matching, medical insurance, paid time off, and holidays.
