Job Title: Direct Support Provider

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Provider to join our team at PCS - Oakwood. As a Direct Support Provider, you will play a vital role in enriching the lives of individuals in our residential setting.

Job Summary:

The Direct Support Provider will provide training and assistance to individuals with daily personal cares, medication administration, community activities, money management, meal preparation, laundry assistance, and leisure activities. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and assist individuals with personal cares
  • Instruct and assist individuals in food preparation, clean-up, and sanitary practices
  • Encourage grooming and dress according to individual preferences, cultural considerations, and social norms
  • Administer medications and treatments as trained
  • Communicate concerns, suggestions, and potential problems to supervisors in an accurate, prompt, and respectful manner
  • Chart daily program information
  • Complete cleaning and assist individuals with cleaning tasks
Requirements:
  • Must be 17 years of age or as dictated by licensure
  • Must pass DHS background clearance
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English
