Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression of our practice.
  • Verify and update patient information, including insurance details and demographics, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Process patient registrations, including reviewing accounts and compliance-related documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Prepare paperwork for patient visits, including verifying patient benefits and eligibility.
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance, as needed, and respond to patient inquiries regarding account status and payment arrangements.
  • Monitor patient flow and adjust workflows as necessary to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, guests, back office staff, and providers, providing exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Reconcile cash against daily charge and cash reports, and schedule and confirm patient appointments as needed.
  • Perform clerical tasks, such as copying, sorting, scanning, and faxing, to support the smooth operation of the front desk.
  • Properly check out patients, including collecting co-pays, past due balances, and fees, and ensuring proper completion of all forms and updating medical records as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area and waiting room, restocking supplies as necessary.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients, staff, and providers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced medical office environment, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
