About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Program Manager to join our Technical Care Experience (TCX) team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading research programs, designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative studies, analyzing data to uncover actionable insights, and driving improvements in the customer and associate experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Research Program Management: End-to-end research management including design, execution, analysis, and communication of research findings.
  2. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Collaboration with managers across the organization to develop actionable recommendations for new products, features, and strategies to improve products and services.
  3. Process Improvement: Proactively seek improvements in processes and methodologies, incorporating feedback to improve.
  4. Research Backlog Management: Creation and maintenance of a research backlog, prioritizing research and business needs.
  5. Vendor Management: Managing vendor contracts and outsourced research.
A Day in the Life
  1. Meetings and Collaboration: Meet with researchers and stakeholders to collaborate on project scoping, balancing business delivery needs with quality standards.
  2. Fieldwork and Data Analysis: Lead fieldwork using one or more research methods, synthesizing findings across studies to build actionable insights.
  3. Insight Development and Communication: Authoring and collaborating on research and strategy documents, consulting with other researchers to discuss insights and process improvements.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement: Dive into insights and challenges with stakeholders to influence their strategic roadmap, tailoring your approach to form strong ongoing partnerships.
Requirements
  1. Program or Project Management Experience: 3+ years of experience in program or project management, with a focus on process improvement initiatives.
  2. Data-Driven Decision Making: Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
  4. Education: Bachelor's degree.
  5. Additional Experience: 3+ years of experience in UX or market research in a corporate or academic staff role.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Stakeholder Management: Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization.
  2. End-to-End Delivery: 3+ years of driving end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
  3. Process Building: Experience building processes, project management, and schedules.
  4. Master's Degree: Master's degree.
  5. Strong Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders or executives.
