Position Summary: We are in search of a Technical Program Manager who is eager to apply their hands-on program management expertise, technical knowledge, and leadership capabilities within our program management team. This role involves collaborating with business and engineering divisions to transform product vision into actionable tasks that lead to tangible outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years in Technical Project Management, focusing on scope, schedule, quality, risk, and critical path management.
- At least 5 years of experience in a technical domain.
- Proven experience in managing programs across diverse teams, establishing processes, and coordinating release timelines.
- Familiarity with formal delivery methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Hybrid.
- Technical Engineering Experience: Direct collaboration with engineering teams on roadmaps, estimations, and planning.
- Experience in System Engineering, including end-to-end system design and requirements.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and quick learning ability.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple competing demands.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage with a highly technical team and leadership.
- Clear communication skills across all organizational levels.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with GPS and/or GNSS technologies.
- Familiarity with Jira/Smartsheet.
- Understanding of cloud system architecture.
- Experience in System Engineering and development activities following the V-model methodology.
- Knowledge of Change Management within an Engineering context.
- Experience in Software as a Service (SaaS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional teams, managing projects from conception to launch and overseeing their operational lifecycle.
- Define and implement top-tier processes; establish and monitor critical metrics to assess execution effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with product teams, engineering groups, and leadership to execute the Company Roadmap.
- Identify key risks and issues proactively, prioritize them, and implement mitigations.
- Communicate project status and issues clearly to executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Enhance processes to boost quality, productivity, and responsiveness to feedback and changing priorities.
- Set program milestones, track progress, and communicate updates to stakeholders, ensuring corrective actions are taken as necessary.
- Act as the big picture owner, clarifying objectives and ensuring all dependencies are managed effectively.
- Resolve issues related to cross-functional dependencies, resource allocation, personnel conflicts, technical challenges, time constraints, and risk assessments.
