Job Overview

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week.

The Facilities and Fleet Operations Assistant is responsible for executing daily courier tasks, providing general cleaning services, and performing light maintenance on buildings. This role also involves inspecting agency vehicles and coordinating necessary maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily courier runs within Cabarrus County and adjacent areas as required.
  • Assist with routine deliveries from vendors and carriers, ensuring proper distribution to relevant departments.
  • Sort and meter outgoing mail efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of parking facilities.
  • Perform light maintenance tasks, including changing light bulbs and AC filters.
  • Provide janitorial support in lobbies, community rooms, and public restrooms.
  • Ensure cleanliness and supply levels in restrooms; maintain custodial equipment.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of one year of experience in property management, building maintenance, or a related field is preferred.

Licensing: A valid NC driver's license is necessary.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Effective communication skills with staff, contractors, and vendors.
  • Proficiency in using various custodial materials.
  • Ability to accurately follow and execute both oral and written instructions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Capability to work independently without supervision.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices, methods, materials, and equipment used in custodial work.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (365, Outlook, Word, and Excel).
