Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the full range of activities involving cloud migration and adoption, including project planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Oversee the technical delivery of cloud-based solutions, ensuring compliance with security and governance standards.
  • Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, including supervisors, specialists, and technicians, to deliver cloud-based solutions.
  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including the Assistant Chief Information Officer and the Chief Information Officer, to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on cloud migration and adoption.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery, with a focus on technical delivery, governance, and compliance.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and manage a team of IT professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.

Working Conditions:

This position is located at the Department of Industrial Relations, 1515 Clay Street, Suite 403, Oakland, CA 94612. The successful candidate will be required to work in a typical office environment and may be required to travel occasionally for business purposes.

Special Requirements:

The successful candidate will be required to complete a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) as part of the hiring process. The SOQ should not exceed two pages and should be organized and numbered as reflected below.
