Key Responsibilities:


As a Lead Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market, you will oversee a team of cashiers while addressing operational challenges.

Ensure outstanding customer service by actively engaging with registers and offering guidance to Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks.

Assist in resolving customer inquiries at the checkout.

Delegate store tasks, manage cash register supplies, and uphold cleanliness standards in all areas of the store.

Maintain a vigilant presence at exit points to mitigate security and loss prevention concerns.

Schedule and supervise meal and rest breaks in alignment with company policies and state regulations.

Participate in the recruitment and training of new Cashiers and implement necessary disciplinary measures when required.

Qualifications:
To qualify for the Lead Cashier position at Sprouts Farmers Market, you should:


Be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or GED, and have 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience complemented by leadership training.


Demonstrate reliability and flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.


Exhibit a friendly demeanor, a positive attitude, and the ability to engage with customers, serving as a role model in behavior.

Be proficient in operating front-end equipment such as registers, calculators, and scanners.

Possess strong communication skills, the ability to accept feedback, and a willingness to collaborate within a team environment.

Be capable of performing repetitive tasks and have the ability to prioritize, multitask, and stay organized.


Be able to lift and carry products weighing up to 30 lbs. and maneuver grocery carts requiring a force of up to 35 lbs.


Exhibit strong attention to detail and numerical proficiency; be skilled in cash handling and possess the ability to read, write, and count.
