Lab Manager, Analytical Sciences Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lab Manager to join our team at AmplifyBio. As a key member of our Analytical Sciences Department, you will be responsible for managing a team of scientists and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our analytical laboratory.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and direct the activities of a team of scientists to ensure compliance with federal regulations, client requirements, and study protocols.
- Oversee the scheduling and assignment of projects to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the Analytical staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Develop and implement departmental SOPs and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the Analytical Development team to ensure timely transition of lab-developed methods to GLP-ready state.
- Train and mentor junior scientists to ensure proficiency in laboratory procedures and techniques.
- Manage laboratory inventory, equipment, and software to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the laboratory maintains proper health and safety procedures and protocols.
- Prepare and submit reports to the Director of Analytical Sciences, including Contributing Scientist Reports and deviation reports.
- Minimum BS degree in Biology, Immunology, or related scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a laboratory setting, with a strong background in analytical sciences.
- Strong working knowledge of performance and operations management, including experience with GLPs and quality standards.
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
