We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled DevOps Engineer to enhance our dynamic development team.

Position Summary

We are looking for a proactive and experienced DevOps Engineer with a solid foundation in Linux systems management and expertise in Big Data technologies, automation, configuration management, and AWS. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in establishing infrastructure, streamlining deployment processes, and maintaining the reliability and scalability of our services. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the development and deployment of infrastructure within AWS.
  • Automate deployment workflows while ensuring service reliability and scalability.
  • Oversee and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into the existing infrastructure.
  • Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement resolutions as needed.
  • Continuously enhance processes and tools to maintain high availability and performance.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, exploring innovative methods to improve our infrastructure.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Security Clearance:

  • A current Secret clearance is mandatory; all candidates must be U.S. Citizens.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or Software Development (Java preferred) with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; or 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree; or a High School Diploma with 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of Linux, including system administration and troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
  • Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda) and their application in infrastructure management.
  • Experience in application and OS deployment, scaling, and management.
  • Ability to code in multiple programming languages, including bash, Python, or Go.
  • Knowledge of Git and other development tools, including deployment pipelines.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a knack for identifying and resolving complex issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and standard software development tool suites.
  • Must possess a DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certification (e.g., Security+ certification).
  • Must hold a Computing Environment certification (AWS, Linux, Kubernetes, etc.).
  • Must be able to work a hybrid schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, Presto, etc.
  • Familiarity with containerization and Kubernetes is advantageous.
