Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer, Lead to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a key member of our cloud engineering team, you will be responsible for managing, administering, supporting, and enhancing cloud environments to ensure continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deploy scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Implement and manage continuous integration and delivery pipelines using DevOps practices
  • Utilize tools such as Terraform and AWS Cloud Formation to automate cloud infrastructure
  • Manage containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Ensure cloud security principles are upheld and maintain compliance with industry regulations
  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of relevant cloud projects or contributions to open-source projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cloud adoption and innovation
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering
  • Experience with designing and deploying scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience in DevOps, implementing and managing continuous integration and delivery pipelines
  • Experience with using tools, including Terraform and AWS Cloud Formation
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container management
  • Knowledge of services offered by AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a Technical field
  • IAT Level II Certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles
  • Ability to automate cloud operations using scripting languages, including Python or PowerShell
  • Ability to maintain security standards and compliance with industry regulations in the cloud environment
  • Ability to display a portfolio of relevant cloud projects or contributions to open-source projects
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, MS Azure Associate, or Cloud Security Knowledge Certification
