Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electric Motor Technician I to join our team on the 2nd shift. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing repairs on various kinds of electromechanical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Read job cards to determine job status, work authorizations/limitations, estimate, description of problems, and/or expected serviceability.
- Test electromechanical equipment to troubleshoot known or suspected problems using various methods (AC or DC).
- Disassemble electromechanical equipment noting parts identification, configuration, and condition.
- Clean electromechanical equipment assemblies as needed using various methods and steps.
- Measure for or note proper placement of parts. Correctly requisition needed parts.
- Replace or repair worn or defective mechanical or electromechanical assemblies.
- Retest reassembled electromechanical equipment for proper output and operation.
- Complete required forms on computer system for each job accurately.
- Operate specialized repair and testing equipment, and other equipment as needed.
- Lift (using forklift or overhead crane), tighten, adjust and/or secure heavy objects in order to perform work duties.
- Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to understand, perform, and retain skill-related training, and operational and safety procedures
- Good computer skills
- Provide tools and toolbox
- Able to lift up to 50lbs
- Willing to be on call one weekend every five weeks
