Job Overview

POSITION: ELECTROMECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

Location: New Castle, DE

Compensation: $30.85 per hour ($64,188 annualized)

Position Summary: The Electromechanical Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting electronic systems and equipment for the Delaware River and Bay Authority. Under the supervision of experienced Electronics Systems Technicians, this position involves the installation, programming, and maintenance of various equipment, which may require travel to multiple sites. The role demands working in diverse environments and at heights, with responsibilities that include being on-call 24/7.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize technical expertise to complete assigned tasks
  • Document service activities and prepare detailed reports
  • Follow safety protocols and industry regulations
  • Deliver exceptional customer service
  • Install, service, and verify equipment across different systems
  • Operate necessary tools and machinery

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Comprehensive understanding of electronics and troubleshooting techniques
  • Ability to interpret and utilize schematics
  • Capable of making independent decisions
  • Physical capability to work at heights and in confined spaces

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Electronics or a related discipline OR two years of relevant technical service experience
  • Completion of pertinent coursework is preferred

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Valid driver's license is required
  • ISCET Certification must be obtained within 24 months of employment

Additional Requirements:

  • Subject to drug testing, background verification, and physical examination
  • Enrollment in direct deposit is mandatory
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing technical training
