Key Responsibilities:
  • Custodian of Branch Assets: Safeguard and manage branch assets, ensuring their security and integrity.
  • Financial Management: Undertake daily reconciliation of branch and interbranch transactions, trial balance, and control branch budget.
  • Cash Verification: Conduct cash verification for tellers and treasury, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit timely monthly branch reports, providing insights into branch performance.
  • Loan Appraisal: Conduct quality loan appraisals, ensuring loans are issued within approved limits.
  • Branch Loan Portfolio: Manage the branch loan portfolio, including loan defaults.
  • Teller Transactions: Verify and validate teller transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Business Development: Develop and maintain relationships with members, promoting business growth and development.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and mentor branch staff, ensuring they meet their performance targets.
  • Representative: Represent KUSCCO at branch level, ensuring the company's interests are represented.
  • Security: Ensure branch security, maintaining a safe and secure working environment.
Requirements:
  • Education: Business-related degree or business diploma with related courses or Certificate in Co-operative Management.
  • Experience: At least two years of experience in a managerial or supervisory position in a financial institution.
  • Certification: Valid certificate of good conduct.
Preferred Skills:
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills, with experience in managing teams and developing strategic plans.
  • Financial Management: Strong financial management skills, with experience in budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in representing the company at branch level.
