About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Clinician II to join our team at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. As a key member of our Behavioral Health team, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive and holistic support to patients with behavioral health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct observation and therapeutic interaction with patients to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide excellent and supportive care.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized care plans to address patient needs.
  • Respond to patient and family escalations in a professional and compassionate manner, using least restrictive methods to ensure safety.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on behavioral health topics and care plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement behavior management and mental health care plans.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of therapeutic groups and activities to promote patient engagement and well-being.
  • Provide coaching and instruction to Behavioral Health Clinician I team members to foster continued learning and skill development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Sciences, Recreational Therapy, or related field.
  • At least two years of experience providing care and support to patients in a behavioral health setting.
  • Proficient in Electronic Medical Records.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure and respond to crisis situations.
  • Certification in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention - Crisis Prevention Institute.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
