Summary: The primary objective of this role is to oversee the comprehensive food service contract for a designated dining facility. This includes conducting regular inspections, validating documentation submitted by the contractor to the relevant financial departments, and ensuring compliance with established standards.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and Quality Assurance Evaluator.
- Provide expert guidance on Meals Ready to Eat (MRE) and War Reserve Material (WRM).
- Serve as the primary custodian for essential equipment and Automated Data Processing Equipment (ADPE) related to Food Service operations.
Experience: Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of specialized experience at a comparable level, equivalent to GS-4 or similar. This experience should include:
- Involvement in monitoring food service contracts, including oversight of compliance and documentation.
- Management of food service programs and ensuring contractor adherence to technical specifications.
- Familiarity with food preparation principles, processes, and safety regulations.
Education: A four-year degree in a relevant field may substitute for experience. Transcripts must be provided to verify educational qualifications.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesYour qualifications will be assessed based on your knowledge and competencies in the following areas:
- Understanding of food service principles and safety regulations.
- Ability to effectively organize and manage small to medium-sized teams.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Capability to interpret and apply relevant laws and directives.
Additional Information: This position may require a signed agreement acknowledging potential displacement under specific circumstances. Candidates are encouraged to highlight any relevant volunteer or part-time experience that may contribute to their qualifications.
