Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking food, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
  • Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
  • Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
  • Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently.
  • Monitor food quality while preparing food.
  • Set-up and break down work station.
  • Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles.
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
  • Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • No supervisory experience.
  • None

Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.70 to $24.70 per hour and may offer 401(k) plan, earned paid time off and/or sick leave, stock purchase plan, discounts at Marriott properties, commuter benefits, employee assistance plan, childcare discounts and other wellness benefits.
