Job Overview

BioPhase Solutions is dedicated to connecting skilled professionals with opportunities in Southern California's scientific sector. We are currently seeking experienced QC Inspectors for a contract position within a reputable Medical Device organization located in Orange County.

Compensation: $18-25/hour based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional evaluations and/or testing on all components, subassemblies, and finished medical device products utilizing appropriate tools and equipment to verify compliance with design specifications.
  • Execute job duties in accordance with established work instructions and SOPs, ensuring accurate documentation on device history records.
  • Ensure that all required samples are collected and tested as per procedural guidelines.
  • Assess the acceptability of raw materials and finished products, identifying defects according to established protocols and specifications.
  • Provide prompt feedback to production teams and leadership regarding any quality-related issues.
  • Initiate Non-conformance Reports (NCR) when necessary.
  • Review Device History Records (DHRs) and other relevant quality documentation.
  • Assist in the calibration and preventive maintenance initiatives.
  • Engage in additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree or higher is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of inspection and testing experience in a GMP environment within the medical device or pharmaceutical sectors is essential.
  • Proficient in the use of relevant tools and equipment, demonstrating excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Comprehensive understanding of applicable inspection procedures, with the ability to contribute to and enhance procedural development.
  • Skilled in various inspection techniques for production quality assurance.
  • Capable of clearly articulating nonconformance issues and documenting them within the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively balancing and prioritizing tasks to align with production schedules.
  • Experience in programming and validating automated testing equipment is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide training on methodologies and procedures.
