Controller Opportunity at Halladay Auto Group, Inc.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced financial leader to join our dynamic team at Halladay Auto Group, Inc. as a Controller.

About the Role

The Controller will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations, driving profitability, and ensuring the accuracy of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee the financial and accounting system and personnel.
  2. Run daily operations of the accounting department.
  3. Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure and staffing.
  4. Reconcile the bank accounts for the dealership every single day.
  5. Complete all required reports for the corporate office on a regular basis.
  6. Prepare monthly budgets and financial statements.
  7. Forecast financial goals for each quarter to maintain the dealership's profitability.
  8. Process all insurance claims and liability insurance.
  9. Review all financial statements and ledgers, and work with the accounting staff to clear up any discrepancies.
  10. Prepare all taxes and filing forms with the government.
  11. Meet with the department managers to regularly review business matters and develop plans to increase profitability.
  12. Cross-train in all accounting positions.
Requirements
  • 5 years of previous automotive controller experience required.
  • Previous automotive dealership experience required.
  • Strong communications, customer service, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent analytical ability.
  • High school diploma is necessary; college or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office applications or the equivalent.
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license and willingness to travel as necessary.
