Beverage Service Supervisor

OVERVIEW

The Beverage Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Banquet team and events within the establishment. This position plays a crucial role as a proactive business partner, dedicated to advancing the company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Facilitating communication with staff during pre-event meetings regarding specific setup requirements for buffets, receptions, and an overview of daily activities.
  • Reviewing all details of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and verifying room arrangements prior to each event for accuracy, including tableware, glassware, cutlery, linens, and layout.
  • Confirming food quantities and timing with the Banquet Chef before departing the kitchen and preparing a summary report after each event to detail service aspects.
  • Additional responsibilities include attending meetings such as pre-cons, resumes, and/or leadership discussions, as well as other tasks as assigned based on business requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a banquet setting.
  • 3 to 4 years of experience in customer service roles.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain state-required licenses and/or certifications, such as Food Handler's Card and TIPS Certification.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English, the primary language used in the workplace.
  • Strong command of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be capable of bending, stooping, squatting, and stretching to complete tasks. Requires manual dexterity, including grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing. Must be able to stand and maintain mobility for up to 8 hours continuously. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs regularly and push/pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs on a semi-regular basis.
