Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute environmental planning projects, ensuring compliance with NEPA regulations and providing expert advice on environmental impact assessments.
  • Develop and implement effective project management strategies to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and scientists, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams on environmental planning and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with NEPA regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in environmental science, urban/regional planning, environmental policy, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience with NEPA assessments and federal, state, and local regulatory compliance/permitting in the U.S.
  • Excellent research, analytical, writing, oral communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with team members located across multiple offices.
  • Strong task management skills in successfully scoping and managing project teams and deliverables.
  • Attention to detail, ability to work independently, willingness to work as part of a team, and the ability to stay positive and effective during long days in the field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in preparing and processing various county, state, and federal land use permits.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience working with federal land management agencies' permitting requirements (NEPA, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, Federal Land Policy and Management Act, Forest Service 2012 Planning Rule, etc.).
  • Knowledge and/or experience working with ArcGIS and/or other Geographic Information Systems.
